Mauri Ora

Mate Huka is a diabetes prevention and management programme delivered face-to-face in community settings. Our whānau centred programme helps people who are or may have pre-diabetes, are affected by diabetes in their family history or want to have a healthier lifestyle.

Our aim of the programme is to foster healthier lifestyles amongst those most ‘at risk’, leading to a reduction in the incidence of diabetes and diabetes complications.
